Starten av året er alltid hektisk for Hollywood-stjernene som skal vise seg frem på alle prisutdelingene de blir nominert til. BAFTA Awards er en av de største og ble holdt for 77. gang.
Så langt har Oppenheimer vært en stor favoritt under prisutdelingene, og det inkluderer gårsdagens BAFTA hvor den på forhånd mottok 13 nominasjoner.
Filmen hentet hjem totalt syv gullmasker som inkluderer noen av de gjeveste kategoriene – beste regissør for Christopher Nolan, beste mannlige skuespiller til Cillian Murphy og beste film. Rett bak Oppenheimer tok Poor Things fem priser, med Emma Stone som beste kvinnelige skuespiller.
The Holdovers har også vært en liten favoritt under prisutdelingene, hovedsakelig i skuespiller-kategoriene. Da’Vine Joy Randolph har dominert kategorien for beste kvinnelige birolle. I går vant hun igjen og takket kollegaen sin Paul Giamatti med gledestårer.
Barbie, Saltburn, Killers of the Flower Moon og Maestro gikk hjem tomhendte.
