Det er den tiden på året igjen, når Hollywoods største og til og med kanskje beste skal utkåres. «Awards season» begynner gjerne så vidt i november og vi skal igjennom en haug forskjellige prisutdelinger, slik som Golden Globe Awards og People’s Choice Awards før Oscar-statuettene skal deles ut i mars.
Sist års Oscar-utdeling (eller Academy Awards, som det heter) ble preget av skandale da en tydelig ustabil Will Smith skjelte ut og fiket til verten Chris Rock på scenen. Spør hvem som helst om hvilke filmer som vant, og sjansen er stor for at de ikke husker. Spør hva de husker best fra seremonien, og svaret vil nok alltid være Will Smith vs Chris Rock.
De nominerte for årets Oscar-utdeling ble nylig lest opp av skuespillerne Riz Ahmed og Allison Williams, og seremonien vil finne sted på Dolby Theatre i Los Angeles den 12. mars med Jimmy Kimmel som vert. La oss håpe han kommer seg helskinnet gjennom kvelden!
